The Mootons of Maidenpool were within the domains of Kings Benedict I Justman and King Torrence Teague, although the riverlands eventually passed first to the Storm Kings under King Arlan III Durrandon and then to House Hoare under King Harwyn Hardhand. King Florian the Brave was killed by Andals in the Fall of Maidenpool. The Storm King Monfryd the Mighty defeated a Mooton king and conquered Maidenpool prior to the Andal invasion. The Mootons were petty kings in the days of the First Men.
